At Arrows Developmental Support and Pediatric Therapy Services, we understand that you may have questions about our services. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to provide you with the information you need. If you don't find the answer to your question here, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.

  • Where are therapy services provided?
We love working in a child's natural environment and there is no better way help a child who is struggling at home, daycare, or going to the grocery store, than working in those environments. We offer services in our Albuquerque clinic, as well as in homes, private schools, and community settings, depending on the family’s needs.
  • How are payments accepted?
All payments are accepted via our HIPAA compliant payment processor called IvyPay. When you call to schedule your child's initial evaluation or you enroll them in a developmental class, a text message will be sent to you from IvyPay where you will input your credit card information or your HSA or FSA information on file. Your card will be charged monthly according to the package you have chosen.
  • Do you accept insurance?
We are a private-pay clinic and do not bill insurance directly. We use a package model that offers flexibility and transparency. Upon request, we can provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. This means that even without using your insurance benefits you will typically pay less for therapy compared to other clinics without worry about meeting your deductible before benefits begin. In this model, you are not subject to therapy caps that your insurance company imposes. Additionally, you can still utilize your out-of-network insurance benefits and pay an even smaller portion by submitting our receipt to your insurance company (known as a superbill) which allows you to seek reimbursement in accordance with your plan's details.
  • Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes. We are a licensed healthcare practice and you can use the benefits of your HSA or FSA.
  • How many therapy sessions per quarter?
There are a minimum of 10 therapy sessions in a quarter. If higher frequency is needed, then more therapy sessions can be added by choosing a higher level package.
  • Do I have to have an initial evaluation?
Yes. Evaluations are a critical part of care. It lets your therapist and you know in what areas your child is excelling and what areas they would benefit from support. Treatment planning including frequency, duration and therapy goals are all based off of the results of the evaluation. If an evaluation has been completed by a different therapy practice in the past 6 months, we may be able to use their report to tailor treatment to the needs of your child. Otherwise, an initial evaluation is the first step in establishing care with Arrows Developmental Support and Pediatric Therapy Services.
  • How do I know if my child needs occupational therapy?
Common signs may include any of the following: difficulty with fine or gross motor skills (seems uncoordinated compared to peers), sensory processing, emotional regulation, attention, transitions, or completing daily routines like getting dressed, using utensils, or even brushing teeth.
  • How do I get started?
You can call our clinic today to schedule an initial evaluation at 505-219-1260.
  • How long do I have to use a package of therapy services?
Three months. Our packages are sold quarterly and are pro-rated when therapy begins after the start of a quarter. Quarters are January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December. Sessions do not roll over into a new quarter.
